Your role as a volunteer is to participate with teens and young adults with autism in fun theater and/or dance workshops that are designed to teach life and social skills. Just by being yourself and enjoying the workshops you serve as a peer mentor. It's perfect for first-time volunteers. We hope that you will join us for most or all of an 8-week cycle of workshops, held on Saturday afternoons in Encinitas. You are welcome to visit a program to see if it’s a good fit for you. You don't need to have any prior experience in the performing arts, just a willingness to enjoy theatre, dance, and/or group singing.
Improv Theatre: 2:30-4:00 p.m.
Performing Arts: (group singing and choreographed dance) 4:00-5:00 p.m.
You are welcome to volunteer at either or both. Join us! See 'Program Info' page on website for dates of upcoming workshops. http://pacthouse.org, firstname.lastname@example.org, 760-815-8512.
Please note - As of Feb 25, we are in the middle of an 8-week cycle (don't have workshops Feb 18). The last session of this series is March 18, which is a performance for family and friends. Then we take a break until Apr 22 and begin our Spring 8-week theatre and dance workshop series (no workshops May 27) which concludes on June 17.
This is a great opportunity for you to get to know your peers with autism and make a difference in their lives.
