Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida - Serving 10 Florida Counties - Manatee, Sarasota, Highlands, DeSoto, Hardee, Hendry, Glade, Charlotte, Lee, Collier
Serve as a positive role model to lead or co-lead a group of girls (age group and location of your choice) throughout the academic school year. Using Girl Scout Leadership Experience curriculum and resources, combined with personal experience, teach girls leadership skills and the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
Subscribes and adheres to the principles of the Girl Scout Movement, have the ability to work with girls, demonstrated commitment to diversity, have time, enthusiasm, a sense of humor, and believes in fun. Willingness to support the policies and activities, knowledge and willingness to learn about Girl Scout program.
Complete required training, support Council policy, and maintain girl's safety.

Description
Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
