The New Jewish Home is seeking youth volunteers (12-17) who are available after school, weekends, holidays, and school breaks. As a youth volunteer, you will assist with Therapeutic Recreation and/or Religious Life programs. Programs include: Musical Journey, Glee Club, Beading, Nail Spa, BINGO. Religious Services and Movies. This is great opportunity if you have required community service hours for school or looking for a meaningful volunteer experience to add to a college application.

Please mention Volunteer Match and include if there is something specific you have a community service requirement as well as any hobbies/special interests (suggestions listed below). After you submit your application, you will be scheduled for an interview via Zoom.

Youth volunteers can also provide one-on-one or small group interactions including: manicures, technology assistance (iPad, iPod & computers), card games, dominoes, checkers, chess, scrabble, coloring or arts/crafts, writing with or reading to an elder.

If you play piano or another instrument - our elders would love to listen to you perform.

We ask that volunteers adhere to a schedule that they create with the volunteer department.

SCHEDULE AVALIBILITY:

After School hours until 6:00pm
Evenings (Mondays through Thursday): 6:15-8:30pm
Saturday: 10:00-5:30pm / 10:00-1:00pm / 1:30-5:00pm
Sunday: 10:00-5:30pm / 10:00-1:00pm / 1:30-5:00pm
Weekdays: 10am-1pm / 2pm-6:00pm

All volunteers need to complete our application and requirement forms. After your online application is received, we will send you additional documents.
