The New Jewish Home is seeking youth volunteers (12-17) who are available after school, weekends, holidays, and school breaks. As a youth volunteer, you will assist with Therapeutic Recreation and/or Religious Life programs. Programs include: BINGO, Arts & Crafts, Games, Religious Services, and Concerts.

Please mention Volunteer Match and include if there is something specific you would like to do based on the above information (teach computers, a specific game, reading or writing, playing piano etc.)

Weekdays: 10am-1pm / 2pm-5:0pm

Wednesday evenings: 6:15-8:30

Saturday: 10:00-5:30 / 10:00-1:00 / 1:30-5:00

Sunday: 10:00-5:30 / 10:00-1:00 / 1:30-5:00

Youth volunteers can also provide one-on-one or small group interactions including: manicures, technology assistance (iPad, iPod & computers), card games, dominoes, checkers, chess, scrabble, arts/crafts, writing with or reading to an elder.

If you play piano or another instrument - our elders would love to listen to you perform.

This is great opportunity if you have required community service hours for school or looking for a meaningful volunteer experience to add to a college application. We ask that volunteers adhere to a schedule that they create with the volunteer department.

All volunteers need to complete our application and requirement forms. After your online application is received, we will send you additional documents.
