Do you have retail experience and a desire to help those in need? You can put them together by volunteering at Beacon Boutique in West Des Moines. Beacon Boutique was founded by the Beacon of Life to help the Beacon become self-sufficient. Beacon Boutique is staffed mainly by volunteers. It is their goal to help support the Beacon in aiding women in crisis. Volunteer duties range from sorting donations, pricing clothes, to cleaning the store. There are lots of opportunities at Beacon Boutique!

Description
The Beacon of Life is a long term transitional housing facility with a 34 woman capacity. We strive to give women the strength and skills they need to live independently.
The women we serve come from many different backgrounds and individual situations. Some are homeless, other are coming from jails, prison, or other residential treatment programs. We offer many different classes and groups to help these women understand what got them in their particular situations, how to change their behaviors and how to become strong, independent women.
