Look around you, chances are your life has been touched in some way by breast cancer. Help the Puget Sound Affiliate of Susan G. Komen create a world without breast cancer! The 2018 Komen Puget Sound Race for the Cure is returning to the beautiful Seattle Center on June 3! We need leaders who can use their organizational skills, leadership abilities and creative thinking to help us as we plan for the 25th Anniversary of this event.

Committee members are asked to attend monthly meetings at the Komen offices near the Seattle Center or online on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 5:30 pm. You will need to be available on Saturday June 2 and Sunday June 3 all day to set up and oversee the event.

Committee members are needed for the following:

Registration Chair - The registration chair is responsible for overseeing the registration process of all Race teams and participants. This doesn't mean you have to get people to register, it means overseeing t-shirt/bib packet handout, and helping people register the day of race. This position will also overseeing 10 - 20 volunteers the day of race.

Team Recruitment & Retention Chair - This role is great for those that enjoy interacting with people. The person who oversee this role will be invited to attend Komen events to help encourage attendees to start a race team, or join a race team. This person will also connect with current team captain and race members in phone, via email and/or in person to offer support and encouragement as needed.

Volunteer Manager Mentee - If you love organization and people this is the job for you. Work with this years Race volunteer manager to learn the ins and outs of this position. We hope that you will want to take the lead for next year.

Supply Manager Mentee - The volunteer that accepts this position will work with our long time supply manager to learn this role. Must have organizational skills for this role.

Volunteers are also needed for many jobs including helping with the survivor tent, assisting with registration, and working in the merchandise tent.
