We are looking for volunteers who are interested in providing meaningful interactions with Older Adults who are living in healthcare facilities throughout Los Angeles. From helping residents with exercise classes, to folding origami (Japanese art of paper folding) during social hours, you will have the unique opportunity to volunteer in healthcare facilities that integrates elements of the Japanese Culture into its daily activities.

Description
Founded in 1961, Keiro is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of senior life in Our Community. Our organization manages a volunteer program at three nursing homes in Los Angeles that provide culturally sensitive care to the residents who reside there.
In addition to managing the facilities volunteer program, our organization provides resources, tools, and culturally sensitive programs to help older adults age on their own terms and live with dignity, vitality and confidence. We also support caregivers with problem-solving approaches to manage some of their toughest challenges.
