CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is a nationally and locally recognized credible non-profit organization whose Volunteers make a difference in the children/adolescents who are involved in the foster care system.
The CASA Volunteer works independently to evaluate each child's needs and best interests. The Volunteers works collaboratively with the child, family, caseworkers, court and others involved in the case. The Volunteer provides reports to the courts, giving pertinent information, the wishes of the child and recommendations for permanency.
The CASA Volunteer's recommendations can make a significant difference in a child's life.

Mission Statement
The mission of Northeast Georgia CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is to provide trained and supervised volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in juvenile court proceedings, with the goal of a safe, permanent home for each child.
Description
CASA Volunteers are trained and supervised to advocate in Juvenile Court for the children/adolescents who are involved in Georgia's foster care system.
The CASA Volunteer monitors and ensures the child's best interest and needs are met throughout the court's involvement.
The CASA Volunteer works diligently to get the child to a safe, permanent home as soon as possible.
