The Brittanys

Hi, Do you love dogs? Do you love working with animals? How about chatting with people?

We are a nonprofit rescue group and we hosting a booth for our rescue at a huge Adoption Event coming up on May 19-20, 2018 at Warner Park @ 11:00 a.m. This even will feature 1,000 dogs and hundreds of cats up for adoption from various groups but today we are just recruiting for our group, National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network. We are a breed-specific group and only rescue Brittanys and Brittany mixes. They are sweet and loving, affectionate and smart dogs and lots of fun.

So, if you can help either before or during the Adoption event -- we have different jobs including walking, watering and feeding dogs; talking with people about adoption and training; and selling bow ties and neckties for dogs, t-shirts for humans, calendars, collars and leashes. We always need help with set up and take down at the end of the event. we usually set up two hour shifts but can work around your schedule as needed.

If you think you might be able to help, go to a school, church, mosque or synagogue that wants to be involved in helping animals, please send an email or call. We have two foster dogs we are fundraising for - Monique and Gigi - who have very expensive vet bills, so if you have any fundraising ideas, we are open to hearing them. This is a city owned park so we cannot sell food -- we used to do a bake sale at the old venue but that doesn't work here so we are looking for ideas to help Gigi and Monique.

We also need foster parents and help with transporting dogs to their forever homes.

Please visit our website at www.nbran.org, see our facebook page for national news and information, send an email to nationalbrittanyrescue@gmail.com or call 310.994.1062.

Thank you so much for looking!

Mission Statement

National Brittany Rescue & Adoption Network (NBRAN) is an alliance of dedicated Brittany rescue volunteers who share a deep love for the breed and who will work to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Brittanys in need, whether abandoned, lost, stray or surrendered to rescue for placement. As volunteers united in a common cause, we are committed to the care of these dogs in foster homes, and providing for their physical and emotional needs. We are committed in our endeavor to help them with all the resources we have available.

We pledge to maintain a community of volunteers who treat each other, and the dogs they rescue, with respect, courtesy, kindness and love. We will seek always to lend encouragement and to support one another, and to facilitate friendly collaboration and cooperation between our volunteers. We believe that by building a supportive, dog-centered organization founded on respect, honesty and integrity, we will always remain focused on the welfare of the Brittanys entrusted to our care and hold their interests uppermost in our hearts and minds.
