Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats helps to end the proliferation of cats being born on the streets of LA by providing free Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) services throughout LA city. With TNR - the humane trapping of feral cats - cats are also seen by a vet to have their medical needs addressed before being returned to their colony caretaker. We work with community partners and colony caretakers who help provide for and watch over the street cats. Kittens trapped receive a full ride scholarship to our Charm School, where they receive medical care and are socialized to be adopted out to life long loving homes.
We need volunteers to assist on a flexible schedule, usually 1-2 times a month. Most trapping is done on the Thursdays, but a TNR Patrol is a three-day adventure - day one we trap, day two is vet care, day three is the return to outdoor home & loving colony caretaker.
Volunteers are needed Thursday through Saturday, occasionally Sundays. Greatest need is for assistance Thursday & Friday mornings, and Fridays after lunch. This is a great way to truly help stop the growing problem of homeless animals by committing just a few hours a month - or as many as you like - to the problem of cat overpopulation! You will receive full training, and our truancy officers work in small groups focused on the health and safety of the team as well as the cats we trap.
Join our TNR team today and help us create a humane city.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or training, email@example.com to sign up for orientation. For information on TNR, please go to kittybungalow.org/TNR

To reduce the feline overpopulation problem in South Los Angeles through the proven Trap-Neuter-Return program coupled with the socialization and adoption of the felines we catch who are eligible for Charm School.
We are dedicated to the rescue, socialization and rehoming of street cats in South LA. Our goal is to ramp up the Trap, Neuter, Return programs in that area and try and nip the inevitable cat explosion in the bud. If we don't do something and get people involved, the 8000 cats that will go unfixed this year will become 60,000 within the next 18 months. That is a lot of cats...
We'll work with your schedule.
