Then we need you! K9COLA (K9 Citizens for Off-Leash Areas) is looking for volunteers to get involved with it's committees. The organization has 5 committees that help it run: Public Education, Fundraising, Site, Volunteer, and K9Splash!. The public education committee helps inform people about our organization, the off-leash areas, and the benefits of having them in our communities. The fundraising committee comes up with new opportunities to help us raise funds to accomplish our mission. They also oversee the opportunities we currently participate in. The site committee steers the direction of off-leash areas in the community. They make recommendations for improvements and amenities at the parks and ensures the parks are well maintained. The volunteer committee works to recruit new volunteers to our organization and plans our annual volunteer appreciation night. The K9Splash! committee plans our annual dog swim. We have monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of the month at the Marion Public Library.
