Picking corn on a sunny day!

Gleaning for the Second Harvest Food Bank of NW PA is a great opportunity to enjoy the fresh air, get a little exercise and help to supply fresh produce to the needy! Just volunteering one time will make a difference. By yourself or with a group is great! We have many farms and orchards that we will be asked to glean. We pick the usable leftovers when the farmer is done with his harvest and we distribute them to our surrounding 11 counties. If you would like to participate once or throughout the harvest season, we would love to have you. Our goal this year is to obtain as much produce as we can since produce is high in nutrition and low in fat and sodium. So get ready to be close with nature and spend time in the fresh air! You will also be helping to feed the hungry in northwest PA. Please sign up today!
