The mission of Dress for Success Tampa Bay is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Dress for Success was founded in New York in 1997 and has assisted more than 450,000 around the world. Pat Ellington, Founder of Dress for Success Tampa Bay read a 1998 article in People Magazine about Dress for Success giving low-income women clothes and confidence for job interviews. Pat contacted Nancy Lublin and founded Dress for Success Tampa Bay as Florida’s first. Pat is an example of how one woman can find the time, make the effort and give tirelessly to help women who are less fortunate. Pat Ellington is a wife, a mother of six and helping hand to many.
