ORGANIZATION: Helping Link-Mot Dau Noi

Helping Link/Một Dấu Nối is looking for photographers/videographers to cover our 31st Annual Gala this October. The volunteers will work independently and submit their final work in digital form to the managers of Helping Link.

Responsibilities:

  • Take photographs and/or videos during the Gala.
  • Have your own photography/videography equipment.
  • Ensure that people sign release forms before their pictures/videos are taken.
  • Comfortable photographing a variety of people in a fast-paced environment and get proper IDs.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to take professional-looking photos and/or videos. Photos/videos must capture important details or memorable moments to help communicate the message of a successful and memorable Gala.
  • Be able to effectively operate equipment to achieve maximum visual effect in a timely manner.
  • Should have a basic understanding of image capturing techniques and be able to process digital works with appropriate software in addition to basic video editing.
  • Ability to communicate well with community members and collaborators/volunteers to achieve the best results possible.
  • Volunteers should be able to perform duties in various positions without losing the ability to focus.

Helping Link/Một Dấu Nối has been serving the Vietnamese-American immigrant community for 30 years. We provide English language and computer education classes for adults and seniors, afterschool tutoring and summer classes for youth, job-site language training, information and referral services for our most vulnerable and cultural events for the community.
