Whether you like to listen to stories, hold a hand, walk a dog, play games, send cards, play a musical instrument, have a certified pet therapy dog, or just help with office administrative tasks then Valir has a spot for you!!

Hospice Volunteers are ordinary people with extraordinary hearts.
They understand how precious life is to those facing a terminal illness and how important it is for patients and their loved ones to live life to the fullest. The little "extra" the volunteer gives in performing a task, offering love and compassion, or just listening makes a big difference. The extraordinary thing, though, is what volunteers get in return for their time is a gift that enhances their own lives.

About Valir Hospice Care

Location:

800 NW 6th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73106, US

Mission Statement

Establish a higher standard through integrity and compassion for all we serve.

Description

Valir Hospice serves terminally ill patients with a life expectancy of 6 to 12 months. We are an interdisciplinary team comprised of professionals and volunteers who address the "holistic" needs of the patient-medical, emotional, psychological and spiritual.

Hospice neither hastens nor postpones death. Rather, it affirms life and regards dying as a normal process. The hospice movement stresses human values that go beyond the patient's physical needs.
