Assist in maintaining the ABC medicinal theme gardens on our 2.5 acre property. There are currently over 30 theme gardens, a few of which are: human systems garden, culinary cuisine gardens, as well as Ayurvedic and TCM medicinal gardens. For more info on the gardens, refer to the Virtual Garden link on our website (www.herbalgram.org)
Assistance comes in the form of weeding, plant propagation and transplanting, occasional building of beds, watering, pruning, as well as harvesting and cleaning seeds. It is a wonderful opportunity to spend time outdoors and learn about medicinal plants.
We are looking for volunteers who have organic gardening experience and who would be able to commit to at least 4 hours per week. Ideal volunteers should be free from physical injury and must have the ability to push/pull 50#. Times for volunteering are from 8am-2:00pm, M-F.
