Looking for a way to make a difference in the lives of others and enjoy some quality time with your furry friend? Become a Pet Visit volunteer at Lyngblomsten!

Here's how you can brighten someone's day:

  • Visit senior residents with your well-behaved cat (or dog, rabbit, etc.!)
  • Share the joy of companionship through petting and interaction
  • Chat with residents and create lasting connections

You'll also:

  • Experience the rewarding feeling of giving back to your community

Requirements:

  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Cat (or other pet) must be at least 1 year old and up-to-date on vaccinations
  • Pet must be well-behaved around people and wheelchairs
  • Commitment: Flexible schedule, just 1 hour a week can make a big difference!

Description

Lyngblomsten provides compassionate care to older adults through residential and community services. Volunteers of all ages are welcomed to explore over 100 unique and varied opportunities. While short-term options may be available periodically, we encourage longer-term commitments given the exceptional level of orientation, training and on-going education Lyngblomsten provides in support of its volunteers.
