Hello and Welcome to Planet Rehab! This is our Volunteer Opportunity for both weekdays and weekends,

We are looking for people who have integrity that love birds and want to help! We are all about protecting the environment. We care for an Exotic Bird Aviary at Hillcrest Retirement Home which is filled with doves and finches from around the world. The most exciting aspect is that they will actually fly to you and eat out of your hands! The Birds all have an important role to play as Ambassadors for Nature!, and they bring a great deal of joy to the Senior Citizens that live at Hillcrest! If you are an animal lover you probably already know that we are causing massive destruction to our planet. Currently HUMANS have sped up the natural extinction rate by 10,000% according to the United Nations Environmental Program Report and this is causing the extinction of 200 species each day! The birds at the Hillcrest Aviary are crucial in helping us nurture the relationship between humanity and nature and to inspire better protection for nature.

THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR VET TECHS, INTERNS & RETIRED PEOPLE!
Hours are flexible and Sofie and Hailey will train those that are accepted to the program. PLEASE APPLY ONLY IF YOU ARE SERIOUS, COMMITTED, AND HAVE TIME TO COMMIT. These are living beings and if someone flakes, that means that possibly the animals are not cared for properly.

This is a VERY EXCITING time to be a part of Planet Rehab as we have expanded our Animal Protection Work into Panama where we are working with many more species including Monkeys, Sloths, Parrots, Toucans, Wild Cats, etc!

You can sign up immediately by going to our website and filling out the application (there is a one time orientation fee of $25) at www.planetrehab.org/volunteer. Orientation sessions are given on an "as needed" basis. You MUST go to our website and fill out a Volunteer Application. The Care team members are responsible for providing the birds with food and water, cleanup and overall well being of animals. We are looking for passionate and committed animal lovers who work well in team settings.

Please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. No sandals. We look forward to meeting you!
