Ongoing administration, marketing, solicitation & fundraising tasks including brainstorming to plan and implement fundraising drives and events, revise or recreate business cards, letterhead, flyers & brochures, assist with limited accounts payable and rececivable bokkeeping entries, calling prospective supporters, mass mailings, contact outreach organizations to grow our clientele, seminar scheduling, seminar setup and break down, reception duties, hosting, ticket takers, servers at events, drafting and mailing pledge forms with cover letters and mentoring our clients. We require volunteers over 17 years old, with good presentation and communication skills. If you do not have these skills, then you can be one of our clients and learn them with us.

Mission Statement
PIE, Inc.'s mission is to empower low-income, present and future employment candidates who may be high school and college students and graduates, the homeless, veterans and the unemployed who would benefit from free, specific, streamlined seminar sessions and workshops. We intend to improve their odds of becoming gainfully employed, productive citizens. It is our goal to make a huge impact by changing the employment status of low-income candidates in Palm Beach County. This program addresses the issues low-income employment candidates in Palm Beach County, Florida, face, and provides detailed suggestions, tips and techniques to present and market themselves positively, professionally and effectively to potential employers. Through this program we make a difference in the lives of our clientele by equipping them with the skills needed to compete in this very competitive job market and harsh economic climate.

Through partnership with other outreach organizations, churches and schools and through our own marketing and research of our communities, PIE offers free training sessions, including:

The Employment Application Process
Appropriate Business Attire & Hygiene
Business Etiquette
Candidate Rights (What Is Too Much Information?)
The Interview Process (including skits depicting real interview scenarios)
Basic Bookkeeping
Introduction to Microsoft Office
Administrative Assistant Skills
We also refer eligible clients to recruiters, HR managers, adult education centers, homeless and veterans outreach organizations, unemployment job centers and job training facilities and present guest professional speakers during some of our sessions.
