St. Joe's Home for Children has priority need for (adult age 18 ) Reception desk volunteers to assist in the mornings or afternoons. Lots of openings! This is a weekday opportunity.
Assist St. Joseph's Home for Children by providing general hospitality and reception functions to clients, visitors, staff and volunteers. Work at front lobby desk with very supportive staff partner. Duties include greeting visitors and new clients, locate staff via phone and walkie-talkie, provide door access in off hours, accept mail and sign for packages, accept financial and in-kind donations and process receipt materials for for donors, assist with fire drills and weather related events, and tidy (minor dusting and magazine arrangement) lobby for clean appearance as needed.
Please note Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis conducts an interview, background check, orientation, and placement. We ask our volunteers to be willing to commit to weekly volunteering over a period of several months.
