Mission Statement
At SLC, we improve lives through literacy and basic education. We believe it's never too late to learn.
Description
Stateline Literacy Council (SLC) provides classes and tutoring for adults in the areas of English as Second Language (ESL), Spanish GED, Citizenship, and Basic English Reading. Each year we provide over 100 learners with access to a low-cost, high-value education that helps them improve their lives and the lives of their family. When adults better their education, their children do better in school and have improved long-term outcomes such as work and income levels later in life.
SLC prides itself on being a United Way Blackhawk Region Funded Program Partner. Come work with us and give back to your community!
