Manos de Cristo, an Austin community service organization, is in need of volunteers to help our students by volunteering once a week to teach a basic skills Computer Class. Manos is devoted to empowering our clients through educational programs, food and clothing programs, and our dental clinic so that the working poor in our community are able to provide for their families.
We are looking for volunteers who can teach one of the following class (once or twice a week):
Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday mornings: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday evenings: 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Classes cover Windows basics, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel, internet and email.
We provide training for the class and supplementary teaching materials.
Every semester, our volunteer teachers tell us that Manos is truly a unique and inspiring place, and we hope to hear from you! Please contact Maria Palacios at mpalacios@manosdecristo.org to volunteer.
