Education volunteers work as a team with the museum staff to provide effective hands-on experiences for youth ages pre-school through college within the museum galleries and/or submarine.
Guide students through museum galleries. Teach specific age-related programs in areas of maritime history or science/ecology. Interact with students in Children’s Waterway Room and/or Suspect Species Investigation Lab.
Skills Needed:
- Love of and understanding of youth at various age levels.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Confidence to lead and supervise students within the museum setting.
