Easter Seals' Child Development Centers provide developmentally appropriate education in a fully inclusive environment to help children with and without disabilities learn, grow, and flourish. Volunteers can help children, staff and teachers in a variety or ways that fit your interests such as by:
- Reading Stories
- Rocking Babies
- Mixing up a batch of play dough and let the creativity begin
- Playing games/activities and sharing some one on one time
- Decorating bulletin boards
- Helping with special events--parent's meeting, book sales and holiday bazaars
- Placing food on carts and take to classrooms, cleaning up kitchen area
- Clerical support: Maintain records, check immunization records and send update letter to parents, put enrollment packets together
- Assisting staff while they provide teachers with a break to work on lesson plans
