The Friends Caregiver Program offers transportation to seniors 60+, who can no longer drive, through our volunteer driving program. Our volunteer drivers help these homebound seniors remain independent and connected to their community by providing rides to medical appointments and errands such as grocery shopping. Our drivers can volunteer for as much or as little time as they wish. Many volunteers become good friends with our clients.
Consider becoming a volunteer driver and be a key to someone's continued independence...One hour per week of your time can make a difference to a senior who can no longer drive. For many people the only thing preventing them from staying in their own homes is the inability to drive. You can help a senior person stay in their own homes longer by providing a ride at your own convenience.
You will feel so rewarded when you see how grateful these folks are!
