SAY San Diego

Join SAY San Diego at San Diego Pride on July 13-14, 2019. Help inform and educate the public on issues regarding the tobacco industry and its negative impact on the LGBTQIA+ community.

SAY San Diego’s Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) Prevention Program is designed to incorporate the concept of community partnerships, the application of new, science-based knowledge of alcohol, tobacco and other drug problem reduction, and the development of a system-wide, outcome-driven prevention strategy to address the increasing trend of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use among adolescents in San Diego County.

Volunteers are needed to distribute educational materials; help attendees play a spin-the-wheel trivia game; pass out giveaways; and assist with volunteer recruitment/sign-ups for participation in a coalition dedicated to the prevention of the use of tobacco and other drugs.Volunteers will provide information on drugs, tobacco, and alcohol risks to the public (training and guidance provided for you).

Volunteers are needed on July 13 and/or July 14 for the following shifts: 10:00am-2:00 pm and 2:00pm-6:00 pm, and 6:00pm-10:00pm. Volunteers choose which shift they would like on either day.
You will be provided with instructions and where to meet in advance.
