General Responsibilities: Help set up and take down for dinner event at Lake Merritt Sailboat House, Oakland

Duties and Responsibilities: Work with other volunteers to set up, place tablecloths, add decorations, set out water pitchers, utensils, signs. This is our Christmas Bird Count dinner.

Skills Needed: Able to stand and sit for 2-3.5 hours at event. Ability to work well with other volunteer colleagues. Help with set up and light clean up. Dinner provided for volunteers. If not using public transportation, parking is available inside Lakeside Park on Bellevue Avenue for $3.00/2 hours.

Rewards: Dinner and non-alcoholic beverage provided. Learn about our annual bird counts which add relevant information to the scientific study of birds, their habits and their populations-an opportunity to make a real difference for the protection of Bay Area birds, wildlife and habitat. Being part of a well-established and respected conservation organization, rich with history of volunteerism. Friendly and fun event.

Founded in 1917, Golden Gate Bird Alliance is one of the oldest wildlife conservation organizations on the West Coast. We have a long history of inspiring and connecting people in the Bay Area with local birds, wildlife and their habitats and today play a critical role in Bay Area wildlife conservation. Golden Gate Bird Alliance has roughly 7,000 members and supporters in San Francisco, Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
