"Connect the dots" is an idiom that describes a process by which something is discovered or learned through a concerted effort to collect clues, information, and facts.

When you volunteer 2-4 hours per week at the Oxnard Public Library, you'll help an adult develop their reading and writing skills to make informed choices, support their family and positively impact our community through increased literacy.

No teaching experience is needed. In two tutor preparation workshops, volunteers learn to use simple, effective techniques and materials to improve reading, writing or math skills.

Volunteer today to help an adult"get the picture" and discover the rewards of being an Adult Literacy Tutor.
