-You will receive training in tutoring English-speaking adults who wish to improve their reading and writing. In Truckee, you may also help students learn to speak English. Tutoring opportunities are available in both the Grass Valley-Nevada City area and the Truckee area.-In 1-2 hours per week, help them expand their world and increase their ability to get a job, better pay and benefits, and lift themselves and their family up out of low income. It is one of the finest gifts you can give to another.-Help them build their self-confidence and self-esteem as they experience the success of learning, and the benefits of literacy. Think of what your life would be like if you could only read at the 5th grade level or below.You will feel great personal satisfaction as you see your student blossom.
