6th Grade Math Tutoring is a one-on-one reading program for at-risk students. We pair struggling students in the sixth grade with a committed mentor who works with the student for one hour twice a week from October 2016 to June 2017. The relationship that develops between the tutor and the student is transformative and is critical for driving academic success.
We are looking for math tutoring mentors for 4th-6th grade students for the 2016-2017 school year at a Sunrise and Karshner elementary schools. Sessions are twice a week from 3pm - 4pm (Tuesdays and Thursdays) at Sunrise or Karshner Elementary. Come help kids with addition/subtraction, multiplication/division, and some fractions!
Time Commitment: An hour twice every week until June 2017

When it asks for "Volunteer Category" please select COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS. This will ensure we receive your application. If you have applied in the last 2 years there is no need to apply again. The application is valid for 2 years.
