This program focuses on the parents/caregivers of the inpatient children in our hospital. They are sometimes here for months at a time and everyone is so focused on the children that we forget to let the adults know that we care about their wellbeing and comfort as well.

We need outgoing, patient and caring individuals to push our hospitality cart around our two units to check on parents/caregivers. The volunteer is there to provide water, blankets, reading material, information or just a distraction from their constant worrying.

Volunteers have always been one of our most important assets. The community's support is important to all hospitals, but is especially important at Mt. Washington because of the medically fragile children we serve. We need the support of caring individuals to help us carry out our mission. Support for the children comes in a variety of forms.

Basic office work, such as filing, mailings, typing, etc.
