Come make a difference! Experience the warmth and vibrancy of rural Dominican culture as you stay with a family in a home-stay setting and carry out needed service activities to benefit this small community.
Spanish-language immersion in a rural Dominican community that is very appreciative of visiting volunteers.
Service activities often combine hands-on physical activities like construction assistance and tree planting, and social-educational activities like leading arts and learning groups for children, or workshops for adult community members.
We're happy to work with you to set up service activities based on your interests and skills to meet community needs.Your creative ideas are welcome!
Service trips include a guided day trip to Santo Domingo's Colonial Zone and a Caribbean beach.

In addition, Sister Island Project promotes awareness of issues that challenge developing countries and collaborates with Dominican on mutually beneficial humanitarian projects.
