ORGANIZATION: San Jose Public Library - Tully Community Branch Library

Provide assistance in Spanish to customers who would like help using the library’s public computers and other equipment. Instructions may include variety of computer applications including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer, how to set up an email account and the photocopy machines. Program takes place weekly.

Fingerprint clearance required for volunteers 18 or over. Six months commitment required.

Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
