Responsible for smooth operation of rehearsals and performances, SM arrives early and sets up the rehearsal space, calls absent cast, maintains order, records blocking and director notes, and acts as liaison between the production and the production staff. For larger shows, SM may have one or two assistants. Previous theater experience is a plus, but passion for the arts and community theater is a must!
