Habitat Restoration Morning
UPCOMING RESTORATION DAY - Hellman Park, Whittier Saturday, March 24th, 2012
Help the Puente Hills Preserve restore the Hills native habitat. Join other volunteer in their effort to remove invasive weeds, and plant new natives. The workday will be from 9 a.m. to 12 noon; please try to arrive 15 minutes early for check-in. See the Habitat Authority website for directions to Hellman Park (http://www.habitatauthority.org/trailaccess.shtml). Please note that parking is very limited, so street parking in the adjacent neighborhood will likely be necessary.
Please make sure to wear appropriate clothes (long sleeves, long pants) and shoes (old sneaker or boots), a hat and sunscreen. Drinking water, work gloves and tools will be provided.
**If you are under 18 years of age, let me know so I can email you a separate form to be completed by your parent/guardian prior to the workday.

By preserving open space, we are essentially providing homes for wildlife, cleaner air, enhancing watersheds, assisting with economic viability for surrounding communities, and providing a place to invigorate and replenish the human mind, body and spirit.
