Hearth is a non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of homelessness among the elderly. This mission is accomplished through a unique blend of prevention, placement, and housing programs all designed to help elders find and succeed in homes of their own.
One of our current residents from Havana is looking for a conversational visitor to visit with him and converse in Spanish.
Experience volunteering/working with the elderly preferred but not required.
Volunteer must commit for a minimum of three months.
A CORI check is required.

Hearth, Inc., formerly The Committee to End Elder Homelessness, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of homelessness among the elderly through housing, outreach, and advocacy.
Hearth, Inc. operates 188 units of permanent housing for formerly homeless elders at seven residential sites throughout Greater Boston. The essence of Hearth's Housing Model is the integration of interdisciplinary services at each residence:

- Health Services
- Social Services
The Outreach Program works with over 325 elders each year, helping them find and succeed in homes of their own.
Hearth's National Initiative focus on raising awareness about the crisis of elder homelessness and promoting Hearth's Housing Model and Outreach Program as the solution.
