Please note these positions are temporarily on hold due to Covid-19. But we are still recruiting/accepting applicants for when our in-person legal clinics are operating again; hopefully within a few months (fall/winter 2021).
As a clinic assistant you will help run a legal advice clinic at the Hennepin County courthouse by interviewing clients, gathering pertinent information and forms to prepare their case for the meeting with a lawyer, and providing follow-up assistance as directed by the lawyer. Fast-paced clinic helps clients with a wide range of legal issues.

Mission Statement
We protect the basic human needs of people in poverty by connectng them with volunteer lawyers.
We stand between people in poverty and hunger, homelessness and abuse. Our laws may be fair but without a lawyer, many are abused or cheated without recourse. Help us ensure that no one is railroaded by those with more power, money or legal know-how. Everyone deserves a fair shake at equality and justice.
Description
