18 Edible Avalon Community Gardens in Ann ArborAnn Arbor, MI 48103About
As a volunteer site coordinator, you'll get to know Avalon tenants one-on-one. By "adopting" one of the gardens for the summer, you'll get to visit with tenants once a week, sharing (and learning!) gardening skills, recipes, and just plain fun. Gardening experience not required, just a willingness to learn; you'll have gardening support from program staff, the site coordinating team, and tenants. This is Edible Avalon's most rewarding opportunity, and forms the core of the program. Note: Note: we appreciate volunteers who can stay through the full gardening season (Mid-May through Mid-October), but are happy to work with students or others, who may have a more limited timeframe.
Have fun outdoors helping out with a great program!
