As a volunteer site coordinator, you'll get to know Avalon tenants one-on-one. By "adopting" one of the gardens for the summer, you'll get to visit with tenants once a week, sharing and learning gardening skills, recipes, and just plain having fun. Gardening experience not required, just a willingness to learn; you'll have gardening support from program staff, the site coordinating team, and tenants. This is Edible Avalon's most rewarding opportunity and forms the core of the program.
Note: we appreciate volunteers who can stay through the full gardening season (Mid-May through Mid-September), but are happy to work with students or others who may have a more limited timeframe.
Have fun outdoors helping out with a great program!
