Creativity Lab Assistant - Creativity Lab Assistants act as a set of helping hands to the education team in the Creativity Lab, the Cade Museum’s lab where science, art, and history intersect. These volunteers enjoy interacting with people and showing them what there is to do in the Creativity Lab. Volunteers must feel comfortable interacting with the public and sharing the activities and experiments in the Creativity Lab as well as the science concepts behind them.

Interested volunteers must complete our application process in order to volunteer in this role. The volunteer coordinator will be in touch about next steps in the process.

  • morning / 09:45 AM to 11:45 AM
  • afternoon / 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM
  • afternoon / 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM

Description

The Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention is named for Dr. James Robert Cade, a professor of renal (kidney) medicine at the University of Florida and the lead inventor of the sports drink Gatorade.
‚ÄčIn 2004, Dr. Cade and his family established the Cade Museum Foundation to design and build a museum in Gainesville. The Cade Museum, which opened to the public on May 19th, 2018, reflects Dr. Cade's outlandish spirit, zest for life and new ideas and his constant, genuine interest in helping, motivating and encouraging people of all ages and experience.
