Administrative Volunteer: The Cade Museum for Creativity + Invention is looking for a passionate, engaged and committed volunteer to assist the staff in day-to-day operations. The volunteer will gain real-world experience in arts management and events.
Lab Assistant: These volunteers love interacting with people, sharing, and showing them what is new for them to learn and do in the labs. Volunteers may be involved with mini make and takes or share a special talent like drawing or painting with a group in the lab. The lab assistant acts as a second set of helping hands for open lab activities.
Floor Cart Facilitator: Engage with the public by demonstrating a concept with fun, fast demos. Volunteers should have a desire to talk and interact with people, share science knowledge, and excite visitors to experience something new and unique apart from the structure of formal education.
Must be comfortable engaging and speaking with the public. Volunteers who are outgoing and energetic are well-suited for this role.
Marketing/Communications Volunteer: The Cade Museum for Creativity + Invention is looking for passionate, engaged and committed volunteers to assist the staff in social media, marketing and public relations.
Photo/Video Volunteer: The Cade Museum for Creativity + Invention is looking for a passionate, engaged and committed volunteer to create videos and take photographs to be used in web-based and print applications for marketing and promotion purposes.
Experience in iMovie or other video editing software is preferred.
Prep Assistants: Prep assistants are volunteers who love to help, but perhaps are not keen on interacting with the public. These volunteers might be tasked with straightening, correlating, or prefabbing small pieces for field trips. From sharpening pencils (literally!) to checking markers for duds, or cleaning out debris from bins, prep assistant volunteers provide invaluable "behind the scenes" help for Cade programs.
