Purpose: To promote the Library by attending events dressed in the "Splash" costume. Qualifications: Enjoys interacting with people, especially children. Has an outgoing and playful personality, and is approachable, energetic, and dependable. Should be between 5’2" and 5"10" tall and weigh between 120 and 170 pounds in order to fit into costume. Also needs to be comfortable in costume which can become quite warm inside, even with the supplied ice packs. Responsibilities: Meeting and greeting the public, interacting with children, serving as good-will ambassador for the Library, and never speaking while in character.
