Deconstruction isn't just about slinging a sledgehammer! Assist Joel, Deconstruction Supervisor extraordinaire, extract reusable building materials from structures prior to demolition or remodeling. Salvaged building materials and supplies like kitchen cabinets, appliances, flooring, and windows and doors are then sold to the general public in the Asheville Area Habitat ReStore. Those proceeds are recycled back into our building program, helping build and repair homes in our local community! Volunteer oppportunities are announced as jobs are scheduled, and can be full or half days Monday through Friday. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator for more information: (828) 210-9383.
