ORGANIZATION: Golden Gate Bird Alliance (formerly Golden Gate Audubon Society)

General Responsibilities:

  • Work under direction of the Education Director and GGAS Education Committee chairperson.
  • Maintain the "Travel with Golden Gate Audubon" Program (Big Trips){
  • Provide new and up-to-date information
  • Enhance the Program through your own ideas or those of our staff,
  • Contact members, and new trip contacts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote Big Trips to GGAS members at events and provide detailed information to potential interested parties.
  • Evaluate new trips and completed trips
  • Respond to inquiries from potential trip leaders
  • Maintain Big Trip records and participants records

Skills Needed:

  • Ability to attend some Big Trips
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of guided trips
  • Ability to work well with professional colleagues
  • Ability to communicate with the Executive Director, staff, board of directors and volunteers regarding their database needs

Founded in 1917, Golden Gate Bird Alliance is one of the oldest wildlife conservation organizations on the West Coast. We have a long history of inspiring and connecting people in the Bay Area with local birds, wildlife and their habitats and today play a critical role in Bay Area wildlife conservation. Golden Gate Bird Alliance has roughly 7,000 members and supporters in San Francisco, Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
