Laboratory Front Desk Volunteer

***Please Note: Once an applicant fulfills two months of volunteer commitment at the ground floor information desk, they may then switch to a department-based position.
Laboratory Front Desk volunteers assist staff in providing a more efficient and effective working environment. Responsibilities include: greeting visitors and providing appropriate information and/or directions; maintaining organization of front desk area and waiting room; answering phones, transferring calls and taking messages; transporting of specimens; messenger runs and providing clerical assistance to staff as needed.
As of 1/14/21, shifts available include: Wednesday mornings (8am-noon) and afternoons (noon-4pm)
Long term commitment of 6 months (96 hours) with one-four hour shift per week required.
