RESOURCE is currently seeking a volunteer to assist job seekers in our resource lab Mon- Thur between 9-4 and on Fridays between 9 and noon. You will be providing assistance with resumes, cover letters, online applications, reference sheets, company research, locating job leads, etc. Some of the individuals using the lab maybe students practicing their Microsoft Office skills.

One shift per week is required, shifts can vary by volunteer but are generally between 2-5 hours in length.

This resource room is used by individuals who are receiving career education or employment services with RESOURCE. Individuals may have a disability or another barrier from obtaining employment.

Other duties may be assigned to the volunteer to assist us in fulfilling our mission during slow periods of lab utilization.

Avivo serves nearly 15,000 Minnesotans each year, helping them achieve recovery, stable housing, employment and economic advancement. Founded in 1960, Avivo provides chemical and mental health services, housing support services, career education and employment services. We operate Avivo Institute of Career & Technical Education which provides short-term training to earn industry credentials that launch individuals on career pathways and living wage jobs. Our full range of employment services customizes support for unemployed and under-employed individuals who are struggling to find work, transition or start their careers.
