Marie is just one example of the many neglected and sick pets that volunteers have helped to make healthy and happy once again.

Help handle an abandoned pet bunny and/or a special needs pet while handing out coupons to shoppers that make donations to the Rabbit & Small Animal no-kill pet rescue non-profit charity.

Have lots of FUN while telling shoppers the sad story behind the featured "special needs" abandoned pet there with you - and let them know that they can get a $10 off 1 item store coupon by donating $5 directly to the rescue to be used for the food and medical care of the pets.

The event will take place on Saturdays & Sundays at the Carson's store located inside of the Laurel Park Place shopping center on Newburgh and 6 Mile roads in Livonia, Michigan.

Volunteers can participate in 2, 3, or 4 hour time slots for one or more Saturdays starting at 12 noon thru 4PM or Sundays 12 noon - 2PM , between September 2 and November 11, 2017. Volunteer for one date or many - its up to you!

Provide your name and email address - and phone number - and you will be emailed the available dates and shifts closer to the event.

A letter of verification for community service /volunteer work served with this 501C3 non-profit charity can be provided to participants upon request.

No experience necessary - it's super fun and very easy. Adults with their own transportation and that love animals are welcome to volunteer. (Age 14 or over welcome to volunteer along with any adult custodian volunteering at the same time. The adult must be the person to contact us about volunteering and also confirming the date /times attending. The adult must stay with the minor the entire time while volunteering - and actively participate)

Please keep in mind when signing up, after confirming your volunteer date and time, that the rescue is depending on you to actually show up as there are no "extra' people scheduled to come in your place. Absenteeism means less funding to pay for veterinary care and food for the sick, negelcted and abanodoned pets in the rescue.

(If you can not participate at this event, consider holding a fundraiser to benefit the rescue at your workplace or school. Signs, buttons to hand out, and "how to" instructions can be provided to fundraising volunteers in the Westland, Livonia, Downriver or surrounding areas. A community service letter will be provided for the hours you put into your own fundraising event. Holding your own fundraiser is a great way for kids to volunteer AND it looks great on your resume! Let us know you are interested in fundraising and we will get back with you)
