Registration and canteen volunteers are needed to assist blood donors in our Council Bluffs area. We need friendly, helpful and willing people to greet & register our lifesaving blood donors as they arrive at our Loess Hills collection site in Council Bluffs. Opportunities are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, some Fridays and one Saturday a month. A few hours of your time can impact the lives of many patients in need.

Description
The Midwest Region Blood Services supplies blood prioducts to more than 80 hospitals in Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, and Kansas, and across the nation. The region relies on volunteer blood donors, more than 400 employees and 1,300 volunteer blood drive coordinators to provide lifesaving blood for patients in need.
The Midwest Region is one of the 35 Red Cross Blood Regions located across the United States. Together, these regions provide nearly one half of the blood needed each year to treat patients across the nation, about 6 million units.
