ORGANIZATION: WACAP (World Association for Children and Parents)

  • 37 people are interested

Do you have experience editing videos? WACAP (World Association for Children & Parents) is a non-profit international adoption and child assistance agency. Our vision is a family for every child, and you can help make that happen!

Use your own favorite video editing software to edit footage of children who need families from around the world. This person’s responsibilities would include the following:

  • Edit hundreds of waiting children videos. Edits include removing any confidential identifying information, selecting and adding no-royalty music, choosing the best clips and still photos of the child to create a lively one-minute portait of him or her. These videos will then be posted on a private YouTube site so that we can share the videos links though our website with interested families.

This is an ongoing volunteer position. Most of our Volunteer Editors do one or two videos per week, and most edit them at home.

Mission Statement

WACAP is a champion for children, finding and preparing permanent families and offering lifelong support after adoption. Our vision is a family for every child.

Description

Life is hard without a family. WACAP’s focus is to find adoptive families for children and build strong families. A global non-profit since 1976, WACAP has united more than 11,400 children with permanent, loving families.

At WACAP, we believe in the power of family to transform lives, and work tirelessly on behalf of children in U.S. foster care and orphanages overseas. Through the help of volunteers, we use unique family finding methods enabling us to reach out across the U.S. to identify potential adoptive families and move toward our vision of a family for every child.
