COVID-19 Update: Now more then ever your role as a LifeNaut Life Saver Volunteer is an important way to help others use technology to record their Life Stories and other information while participating in an important research project. (for more info visit www.Lifenaut Project). Using remote video conferencing like Zoom,FaceTime or Skype you can connect with people who have a rich life legacy and help them "pass it forward" for future generations. It only requires the ability to listen, connect and share your web savvy tech knowledge a few hours a week online.

Here's more details:
Saving Lives, One Story at a Time at www.LifeNaut.com - It is estimated that a world total of 250,000 people pass on each day, and with them a lifetime of wisdom, stories and knowledge is lost. LifeNaut Lifesaver Volunteers connect with the lives of others before it is too late or even after the fact using available clues like photos, videos, audio, and documents to upload and save the essence of a person's life information. Volunteers should have a sense of humor, love of stories and know their way around a computer. Get ready to explore, connect, laugh and cry as you enter the world of another person and help preserve what is unique about them. The Volunteer Opportunity: As a LifeNaut Lifesaver volunteer you will have a direct role in preserving the life lessons, memories, and history of another person. You choose the person and frequency of with which you will be uploading information and you determine the level of privacy (share or no share) for each person's life story. You can create a Lifenaut account for yourself,a family member, colleague or personal hero/mentor, its up to you. All volunteers will be invited to a free 2 hour orientation to LifeNuat.com, its tools and then can participate in monthly online volunteer support chats with Lifenaut project staff. Who We Are: The Terasem Movement Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit whose mission is to educate and advocate for the geo ethical use of technology to improve and extend lives. We are located in the Green Mountains of Northern Vermont. Join us in this global project to save lives, one story at a time!

About Terasem Movement Foundation (North)

Location:

P.O. Box 225, Bristol, VT 05443, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote the geoethical (world ethical) use of nanotechnology for human life extension. We conduct educational programs and support scientific research and development in the areas of cryogenics, biotechnology, and cyber consciousness.

Description

The founders of Terasem are concerned that the potential of nanotechnology and related cyber consciousness for relieving human suffering and extending human life would be truncated due to unwarranted fears and concerns. The founders are also concerned, however, that nanotechnology and cyber consciousness could be made available only to an elite, or in a manner that creates class divisions within society. The founders believe that nanotechnology and cyber consciousness needs to be developed consistently with full respect for diversity and unity so that the potential for greatly extending human life and relieving human suffering can be realized.
