Busy, active non profit needs an experienced Associate to bring our development department to a new level and to help us sustain our organization.
This 28 year old agency focuses on children of divorce and their families, operates on a minimal budget and is 90 percent volunteerism.
The Associate works closely with the development team, which plans, organizes, oversees and manages fund-raising, grant writing and community outreach efforts. As an associate you will attend various community events to present FACES and solicit support in the form of donations. Interact with board members and sets up each board meeting, and generates a monthly report of activities of the development program to the board.
Hours include various administrative responsibilities including attending community functions, staff meetings, development meetings and chamber of commerce events.
The position requires a focus on telling our story, garnering community support, volunteers and donations.

Mission Statement
F.A.C.E.S. mission is to provide community based no and low cost professional counseling and other services for children and their families in crisis from separation and divorce, and to provide education to prevent family violence. FACES is a training facility, offering opportunities for learning about therapy and working with California family law courts, social services and other community organizations.
Description
Family Assessment Counseling & Education Services, bettter known as F.A.C.E.S. was founded in 1988 for children and families in crisis.
Our Programs were developed in response to community needs They include:
- Family and Child Counseling, monitored visits, anger management, parenting classes, single parents groups, co-parents groups, teen anger management, childrens groups.
- Education Services for professionals who work with families. English and Spanish, Farsi, Korean, Vietnamese, etc.
Fundraising events include a volunteer recognition lunch, a barbecue, a gala dinner in the fall, a pie eating contest on CSUF campus, a Thanksgiving Feast for volunteers, several restaurant fundraisers, a casino night and Hearts in Action every year in February.
