ORGANIZATION: The Salvation Army Bethlehem Corps

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 1 person is interested

We are looking for groups of 1 to 20 people to spend a morning, afternoon or evening at our Christmas Toy Castle sorting toys and gifts for Christmas 2007. We are also looking for people to be a host/hostess at our Christmas Toy Castle. This is an excellent opportunity for your group to have fun, and at the same time provide holiday joy to needy families in Bethlehem.

We are looking for groups or individuals between 12/17-12/21/07 during our busiest times. The hours begin at 7AM through 8:30PM.
Every December, what happens in Bethlehem is a modern-day miracle. It is a miracle that families receive food and clothing, and disadvantaged children find toys under their Christmas trees. It is a miracle that sufficient money is raised to fund these gifts. Thank you for making these miracles happen. Thank you for doing the most good.

Please contact James Labbe for more information.

About The Salvation Army Bethlehem Corps

521 Pembroke Road, Bethlehem, PA 18018, US

Mission Statement

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church.

Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

The Salvation army is a highly visable organization that helps millions of people across America every year. Most often the public knows The Salvation Army's red kettle Christmas campaign or knows to drop off their old clothing at a Salvation Army Thrift Store, however it may not know the specific details of who we are and who we serve.

What does The Salvation Army do?
It is hard to list everything that The Salvation Army does since it does everything from feeding starving children and families through recovery from natural disasters, and more. They battle against poverty, addiction and homelessness. They are a kind face to comfort the sick and elderly, a wise spirit to support the education of all ages, and a giving heart to address need wherever it occurs.
