So many people who move to sunny Florida have left their families and friends behind. Our Friendly Visitor program reaches out to isolated older adults, usually those who've lost their spouse and live alone. A Friendly Visitor may call regularly, visit in the home, or take the client out to shop, have lunch etc. People around Lee County are waiting for a friendly volunteer to brighten their day! Here are a few examples:
* One client is a baseball fan.
* Another would like a visitor to stop by for a cup of coffee and a chat, or maybe go with her to a movie.
* An older lady has no way to get to church on Sunday mornings, would appreciate a friendly person who could drive her to church.
We work with you to find someone with similar interests who just needs a friend. Call or email for more information.
